The Municipality of Dalaguete is now implementing Municipal Ordinance No. 2023-303, a remarkable initiative from the Office of the Mayor. This ordinance provides special cash gifts to our “Super Seniors” starting from their 95th birthday.

The Municipality of Dalaguete has committed to ensuring that these valued members of our community receive the support they deserve. The ordinance will allocate a substantial budget for this purpose, ensuring that our super seniors are celebrated and cared for in their later years.

The Financial grants are structured as follows:
• 95 years old – P10,000.00
• 96 years old – P15,000.00
• 97 years old – P 20,000.00
• 98 years old – P25,000.00
• 99 years old – P30,000.00
• 100 years old – They will be receiving a P100,000.00 from DSWD’s Centennial Program & additional P100,000.00 from the Cebu province
Furthermore, starting at 101 years old and for subsequent year, the Municipal Government of Dalaguete will provide a continuous annual grant of P25,000.00 for as long as our senior citizens live.

Today, June 15, 2024, the Municipality of Dalaguete in time of the visit of Governor Gwendolyn Garcia as she spearheaded the caravan of service to the second district of Cebu. Is proud to release the first batch of the special cash gifts to five (5) Super Seniors as part of the Municipal Ordinance. Namely:

1) Miguela Bedico Tagalog – May 8, 1929, a 95 Years old Super Senior from Barangay Balud. Will receive a P10,000.00 cash gift

2) Zoila Tangpos Rivera – June 18, 1928, a 96 Years old Super Senior from Barangay Babayongan. Will receive a P15,000.00 cash gift

3) Emeliana Ceballos Entoma – June 30, 1928 , a 96 Years old Super Senior from Barangay Lumbang. Will receive a P15,000.00 cash gift

4) Flavio Zaragosa Batoctoy – May 7, 1928, a 96 Years old Super Senior from Barangay Consolacion. Will receive a P15, 000.00 cash gift

5) Dionisia Bustamante Heredia – May 10, 1928, a 96 Years old Super Senior from Barangay Obong. Will receive a P15,000.00 cash gift

The mentioned super seniors have been identified through the LGU’s Electronic Senior Citizens Online Registry and Tracking System or ESCORTS.
