It was late morning of August 4, 2019 when Mr. Felix Amacna, a resident of Barangay Balud went to Barangay Tabon for a birthday celebration. When he arrived at the venue, he noticed that his wallet was gone and nowhere to be found. The wallet has very important Identification (ID) Cards, documents, receipts and a cash of PHP 5,700.00. He immediately reported the lost item at Dalaguete Agri-Pinoy Trading Center (DAPTC) around 12:30 PM.
Meanwhile, at approximately 1:30 PM, a grade 10 student of Mantalongon National High School, Marphy Zuniega, 15 years old and a resident of Barangay Tabon, turned over a wallet with the exact description of what was reported by Mr. Amacna. Marphy found the wallet at the roadside on his way to school and went to DAPTC to turn it over to the assigned staff who immediately informed and requested Mr. Amacna to claim the item. Overwhelmed by the honesty of Marphy, Mr. Amacna rewarded him as a sign of his gratitude for the return of his ID cards, money and important documents.
May Marphy be a good example to our young Dalaguetnons. Thank you Marphy!
