To borrow Mandela’s words, “There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children,” manifested the municipality’s pride in extending massive commendations to its municipal scholars who in one way or another not just survived but thrived to survive. There could be no other words but the municipality is beyond grateful and proud in educating and addressing the needs of its children to nurture a dream within. More often than not, these children would soon be the future of Dalaguete. These scholars would eventually be the leaders in trying to continue uplifting the Dalaguete culture, tradition, norms and its government. With great pride, here are the lists of the municipal scholars for the school year 2017-2018. These scholars will receive plaques of recognition for their outstanding performance both in academic and extra-curricular. With hard work and determination you definitely deserve it!

What does it take to be a municipal scholar?

The joint income tax of parents whose annual income does not exceed 80,000PHP is to be considered first. Aspiring scholars must only need to be very diligent in prioritizing education above all. To top it all, a scholar must maintain a grade not lower than 85% in major subjects like Math, English, Filipino, Science and History both in high school and college.

In this fast-paced world and in the advent of technology, the municipality believed that it is essential for her people to get an education for it is mostly the basis for success of a place. In order for the municipality to be able to thrive in the world, they must let their children go to school and be educated. We may never know your struggles but it takes a lot of hard work, determination and perseverance to arrive at this moment. Your success today is one of the many validations of how the municipality love and care for her people. The municipality honors you, scholars for the persevering act of learning all through the years of being scholars. To the graduates of batch 2017-2018 Municipal Scholars, kudos and congratulations!
