THE SHOW MUST GO ON. Despite the effects of tropical storm #KristinePH, the elderlies from the upland barangays of the Municipality of Dalaguete showcased their talents in the celebration of Elderly Filipino Month on October 25, 2024, at the San Isidro Cultural Center, Mantalongon, Dalaguete, Cebu.
Cebuano poem, songs, and folk dances were the highlights of the event, bringing smiles from the Filipino elderly performers to the audiences.
The winners from the event are as follows:

During the event, Mayor Ronald Allan G. Cesante emphasized his hope for a brighter future as he enters his senior years, just like the participants.
“Ang ugma mas arang-arang kaysa kahapon.” (Tomorrow is better than yesterday), Mayor Cesante remarked in his inspirational message.
Along with Mayor Cesante, Congressman Edsel Galeos, Vice Mayor William Lagahid, Hon. Ernesto “Todidot” Tangpos, Hon. Felix Villacorta, Hon. Felix Villahermosa, Ferdinand Llanos, Rommel Alcantara, and John Ritz Osorio also graced the event.
The event serves as a means of valuing our elderly Filipinos and recognizing their vital role in shaping a compassionate and connected community.
