October 21, 2020 — District Supervisor for Dalaguete 1, Cecilia C. Cartilla, received a laptop unit handed over by Mayor Jeffrey B. Belciña in order to lend a hand to public school administrators adapt to the new normal way of providing education. The following day, District Supervisor for Dalaguete 2, Eduardo M. Lumayag, also received another laptop unit.
The Local School Board of Dalaguete, chaired by Mayor Belciña, has been providing constant support to our public schools through the procurement of printers, photocopying machines and laptop units before the start of the modular learning of public schools. Equipment like these are of great necessity especially in module production, attending DepEd-sponsored webinars and submitting reports to the DepEd Regional Offices.
Shifting to a home-based form of learning has been hard on both the teacher’s and students’ side but with cooperation from the local government, the burden of adapting to the new normal could be slowly alleviated. A student could only wish to study harder knowing that their educators and local government is hard at work to continue in providing them quality education.
