Dalaguete, Cebu— In partnership with the Municipality of Dalaguete, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region VII, through the Cebu Provincial Field Office led by OIC Ma. Teresa D. Tanquiamco, successfully conducted its annual Technical and Advisory Visit (TAV) and Symposium to promote labor standards, strengthen compliance, and support local enterprises on April 15, 2025.
The activity was held in two batches: the morning at the MANRO Functional Hall in Poblacion and the afternoon at the Mantalongon Barangay Hall
More than 150 micro-establishments and small businesses attended, receiving key information and technical guidance on various labor-related topics such as General Labor Standards, Occupational Safety and Health Standardss, Child and Family Welfare, Productivity, and the use of a Checklist and Action Plan to ensure compliance with labor laws and enhance business operations.
Ahead of the activity, DOLE officers paid a courtesy call to Mayor Ronald Allan G. Cesante on April 3, 2025, at the Dalaguete Municipal Hall, to strengthen collaboration with the local government.
The Municipal Government of Dalaguete also took part in the event, with staff from various local offices showing strong support. Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Manager Anthony Jabonete played a key role in coordinating the activity, demonstrating the local government’s commitment to labor education and enterprise support.
From DOLE Region VII, the event was supported by Senior Labor and Employment Officer Sheila Marie Cagang, along with Merson Salarde and Sean Edmarcil Simene, who facilitated the discussions while RTWPB’s Erly E. Javier and Gian Carlo Busico shared productivity and wage advisories.
The event was further strengthened through the support of partner agencies. The PAG-IBIG Fund Talisay Branch, headed by Cenon D. Bayang, with Arthur John B. Ramas and Jennifer S. Indino, presented updates on member benefits, employer responsibilities, and services available to workers.






Similarly, the SSS Toledo Branch, headed by Senior Analyst Keith Michael B. Sacay, along with Jasson S. Jabonite and Kevin Ross Rosento, discussed social security coverage, compliance, and services, addressing employer and employee concerns.
This annual initiative is part of DOLE’s ongoing mission to strengthen partnerships with local government units, micro enterprises, and national agencies to promote decent work, safe workplaces, and compliance with labor and social protection laws in the region.
