May 25, 2018. Dalaguete Food Lane engulfed in flames reported earlier today at 7:55 AM. Based on the initial investigation by the Dalaguete Fire Station, the fire started at Edmund’s Refreshment stall. According to the witnesses, the tenants were allegedly cooking at the time and was left unattended. However, the tenants of the said stall denied these allegations.
Upon receiving the fire alarm, the personnel of Dalaguete Fire Station, together with the Dalaguete Police Station and the Dalaguete MDRRMC responded immediately on board with the MDRRMC firetruck. Assisting them were the firefighters of Argao, Boljoon and PMSC who arrived minutes after.
The fire was declared fire out at 8:25 AM. There were no report of casualty nor injury during the incident. The estimated amount of damage to property is approximately P325, 000.00 (Edmund’s Refreshment – 100K, Ahn Therese Food Haus – 150K, Rogelio Lumayag – 75K).
Mayor Ronnie Cesante has immediately inspected the area. He directed the Assistant Treasurer Cerilo Amazona and Miguel Lajos of Engineering Department, to take the lead in the inventory and management of the facility. A meeting is scheduled on Monday by and between the locators and representative of the Parish Pastoral Council, to discuss the plans of the Foodlane.
