September 25, 2024— A successful benchmarking visit by the officials of the Municipality of Malitbog, Southern Leyte, to the Municipality of Dalaguete has yielded promising insights and an enjoyable experience.
The benchmarking visit focused on exploring sustainable farming techniques, agricultural best practices, and tourism strategies involving the Vegetable Basket and Summer Capital of Cebu—Barangay Mantalongon.
On behalf of the LGU Dalaguete and Mayor Ronald Allan Cesante, Vice Mayor William Lagahid and SB Councilor Kevin Belandres , warmly welcomed the officials from LGU Malitbog.
“Hopefully we (LGU Dalaguete) can provide you (LGU Malitbog) inputs on how to start vegetable farming in your municipality,” said Leonardo Carin, LGU Dalaguete MANRO staff.
Present officials from Malitbog were Vice Mayor Kenneth Blair Oben, Sanguniang Bayan Members and staff, Hon. Papias Namoc, Hon.Alain Aberasturi, Hon. Ernesto Sabandal Jr., Hon. Agustina Gabriel, Hon. Nestor Gonzales, Hon. Jove Oraiz, Secretary Hydie Tanque, Agnes Biong, and Sienna April B. Gabronino, learned and engaged during the discussions.
This visit highlighted the importance of knowledge sharing within government, paving the way for enhanced services and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement for our society.
