LGU-Dalaguete’s Macario H. Moya was hailed as one of the Regional winners of the Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) 2016 Honor Awards Program (HAP) under the Dangal ng Bayan category. Out of 25 nominees of this prestigious Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees, Mr. Moya was chosen as one of the 9 Regional winners. He was conferred during the Regional Awarding Ceremony held at the Cebu Provincial Capitol Social Hall on September 8, 2016.
“Cario,” as fondly called by peers, had served Barangay Tabon as Barangay Kagawad in 1982 and as Barangay Captain in 1985 up to 1989. He joined the Municipal Government of Dalaguete in 1999 as Agricultural Technician and has been working in that capacity up to the present. His public service extends beyond his job at the Municipal Agriculture and Natural Resources Office (MANRO) as he actively performs his role not only as Officer of Parasan sa Dios Multi-Purpose Cooperative (PARDICO) but also as Catholic Lay Minister of San Isidro Parish Church.
Other LGU-Dalaguete’s employees who won the Dangal ng Bayan Award at the regional level were Engr. Expedizitas Lenares in 2013 and Mrs. Euthemia Plariza in 2014. Both Engr. Lenares and Mrs. Plariza won at the national level.
Kudos to Mr. Macario Moya who has brought great pride to the Dalaguetnons!
