Due to the wakeful nights of preparation for the intense competition in the 2015 Cebu Provincial Sports and Cultural Meet two teachers suffered medical impediments, Mr. Dominador Villanueva, of Butong Elementary School, Ronda, Cebu and Ms. Sonah Lyn Marikit of Yati Elementary School, Liloan Cebu.
Mr. Villanueva, 50 y/o, tasked to do the kitchen work, was hurried last night to the Julio Cardinal Rosales Memorial Hospital (JCRMH) since he collapsed and his blood pressure has climbed. According to Mr. Rodrigo Ypanto, Principal, Butong Elem School, Mr. Villanueva suffered over fatigue. Eventually, he was referred to Perpetual Succour Hospital at Cebu City
On the other hand, Ms. Marikit, 40 y/o, trainer, folk dance of Liloan, suffered a mild stroke. As stated by Ms. Jocelyn. Barreto, coach, folk dance of Lilioan, Ms. Marikit noticed her symptoms of high blood pressure at the early Monday morning, that is, the numbness on the right side of her body. Then, early today before their blocking rehearsal, she have here BP taken at Dr. Ildefonso Alcantara Memorial Hospital (DIAMMH) and it read 140/100, by 5AM she went into a mild stroke and was rushed immediately to Cebu Velez General Hospital.
The rest of the Liloan and Ronda teachers were very thankful to Mayor Ronnie Cesante for the immediate use of ambulance, free of charge.
