The Municipality of Dalaguete celebrates as its second candidate to the Dangal ng Bayan National Award, Mrs. Euthemia "Themia" Plariza, received recognition last December 15, 2014 at the Centennial Hall, Manila Hotel.
Having spent 26 years of working as a midwife, her dedication, hard work, and passion to do her tasks have helped promote well being of pregnant women and encouraged more to go to the barangay health center for their health-related concerns. She has inspired not just her 16 barangay health workers to perform their roles and do the extra mile in carrying out their tasks but also colleagues to face their everyday undertakings with heart especially that they are in health service of which giving the necessary care to people is their primary responsibility. She has received her Dangal ng Bayan Regional Award last September 3, 2014 at the Cebu Provincial Capitol.
Truly an exemplar of a good public servant, she continues to be an inspiration to everyone who knows her and a pride of the Dalaguete Rural Health Unit. Kudos to you Mam Themia!
