Tri-Centennial Run 2011
“This is one way of strengthening our local family ties, to give our balikbayans a chance to renew their relationship with the community, promote a healthy lifestyle and most specially showcasing to our out-of-town runners what Dalaguete has to offer,” said Ging Zambrano, Head Coordinator for Sports “we have so much to offer to our out-of-town runners, they can enjoy our white pristine beaches, our cool mountainous barangays, or have a dip in our famous Obong Spring where the history of Dalaguete started.” she added.
The town of Dalaguete boosts their well known mountainous barangays, one of which is Barangay Mantalongon, recognized as the vegetable basket of Central Visayas and the summer capital of Cebu due to its Baguio-like cool weather. Resort discounts, free breakfast, free transportation from Cebu to Dalaguete and back, free entrance to Obong Spring will be given to these out-of-town runners registered for the Tri-Centennial Fun Run 2011.
The Fun Run will feature Men and Women’s Open Category of 5K and 10K distance run, an Inter-town 10K & 5K Run, 5K & 3K local run, a 3K student category and another for LGU Category open to Local Government Units to participate as part of their physical fitness program.
