To prevent crime, to interrupt crimes in progress, and to apprehend criminals are the three major objectives of PNP Dalaguete’s Daily Beat Patrol Operations that have just started this Monday, September 5, 2011. Police Inspector Dexter Basirgo, the new PNP Chief of Dalaguete Police Station, wanted to bring themselves closer to the community to perform the above-mentioned objectives with the active support of the community.
A Beat Patrol is an operation where a police officer makes regular circuits or passes through specific areas at an interval time of day. Several areas were determined in Poblacion where most commercial establishments are situated.
Policemen are making regular appearances at the public market and at the area of National Highway and Mantalongon Road intersection. PNP Personnel are also implementing mobile patrol (on-board on a car) on other areas especially on financial establishments such as banks, pawnshops, and gasoline stations all located in Dalaguete. Remaining barangays are alternately been visited by our PNP Personnel through their mobile patrols.
