The week-long events for the closing of Dalaguete’s Holy Year, made possible with the joint efforts of the San Guillermo Parish Heritage Commission and the Municipal Government of Dalaguete, have started yesterday at the food lane area.
Last night, the Dalaguete Music Foundation Choir captured the first prize in the Caroling Contest, the first of the series of nightly activities. Dalaguete Rocking Rondalla grabbed second prize while FTC Group settled for third prize. Dr. Judith Tumabiene headed the board of judges in choosing the winners.
Earlier of that day at around 3 pm, the Fantasy Toyland situated at the food lane ground was opened with an affordable entrance fee of P20. It will be open daily at 1pm – 6pm until December 31, 2011.
Tonight at 8 pm, it will be the dance enthusiasts’ turn to show their talents by groups and contend in the Dance Craze Competition at still the same venue.
