The country’s Novelty Reggae King Blakdyak, who is Joseph Formoran in real life, with his group, “Blakdyak’s Tribe”, made the opening salvo on the nightly novenary entertainments with a bang last Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the jam-packed Dalaguete Sports and Cultural Complex, Blakdyak’s second concert in the town.
The half-Filipino half Barbadosian artist entertained the Dalaguetnons with his reggae style of music accompanied with comedy acts in almost every song he had performed.
The singer behind the hits “Modelong Charing” and “Good Boy” also performed love songs and slow rock songs with a touch of reggae tune.
The event was made possible through the never-ending support from Mr. and Mrs. Rey and Bimbi Tambis and Dalaguete Agri Ventures, Inc. (DAVI).
Phylum Meets Dalaguete Bisrockers
Last night, February 1, 2012, Philippine Mining Service Corporation (PMSC) presented a “Live Band Performance” featuring one of Cebu’s top bisrock bands, Phylum, together with Wet String Band. The group behind the bisrock songs “Palagot sa Kontra”, “Itoy-Itoy”, and “Bisan Pa” also performed popular songs from other bisrock bands.
