With the aim to increase public awareness on civil registration and its system as fulfillment of basic rights of every citizens, the Municipal Government of Dalaguete through its Local Civil Registrar initiated a pro-active intervention in addressing the service gaps and limiting circumstances through bringing the services to the grassroots.
Last May 10, 2012, LCR, headed by its officer-in-charge Marie Fe Zambrano, launched the off-site service at San Isidro Community Center. Residents from Mantalongon and neighboring barangays of Obo, Tabon, Caleriohan, Dugyan, Dumalan, Ablayan, Maloray, Manlapay, Bulak, Babayongan, and Salug were the ones being served for two days.
The off-site service resumes today, May 16, until 17 at the Caliongan Public Market which will address registrations and inquiries from the people of Caliongan, Langkas, Nalhub, Catolohan, and Jolomaynon.
The following week, May 23-24, is set for citizens of Casay, Tuba, Pañas, Lumbang, Malones, Cawayan, and Lanao barangays at Casay Barangay Hall.
With this responsive public service, residents from far-flung areas will have the chance to avail with any of the civil registration services such as securing of transcript of birth, marriage, and death without spending much for the transportation and other expenses brought about of going at the office of the LCR situated at the municipal hall.
