Focusing on the goal to guide the graduating high school students towards the right career path, PESO invited generous advocates who have passion to serve. The group was with Mr. Ben Liston the Education Consultant of the Municipality, Elona Maristela a PESO staff, Kurt Belciña from ITSM, US volunteers who have married Dalaguetnons now permanently residing in the municipality, Mr. Bill Flannery, Mr. Paul Marvel, and Mr. Jack Bailey, and Ma. Lizara H. Soloriano PESO head.Starting at Manlapay National High School with 61 graduating students ,Caleriohan 45 students, Mantalongon with 201 fourth year and 144 third year, Caliongan with 46 students, Casay with 91 students, Cawayan with 36 and DNHS with 470 students. The program lasted for seven days to complete its prospective output of involving the 1,107 fourth year students of the 7 high schools distributed over the entire Municipality of Dalaguete. The program aimed to produce employable human resources to fill in the labor market demands, eliminate job mismatch and to minimize common problem of unemployed graduates. The activity was carried in by the Public Employment service Office (PESO) under close supervision of the Department of labor and Employment Region -7 (DOLE-7) and the Municipal Government of Dalaguete.PESO set off a 7 days Career Guidance Advocacy Program to the 7 National High Schools of the different barangays of Municipality of Dalaguete.
It was the thrust of this administration to reduce poverty condition in the municipality, introduce intervention programs, initiate projects in partnership with the different national government offices for common benefit and to realize its objective to have a progressive, happy and peace loving community.
