Municipality of Dalaguete joined the 3rd wave implementation of the Skills Registry System Program initiated by BLE and DOLE in the Province of Cebu. This is consistent with the vision of PNOY towards poverty alleviation in the country. With PESO as the facilitator, an orientation seminar was conducted in the Municipal Session Hall with the 33 Barangay Captains and their secretaries. Dole-7 Cebu Province Supervisor Mrs. Grace Diaz, Labor Employment Officer, Mrs. Jessica UY and Mrs. Virginia Villarin were the resource speakers, assisted by Ma. Lizara H. Soloriano, PESO Manager of Dalaguete and Danny Russel Lumayag, ITSM head. Mrs. Ma. Gena B. Buenconsejo, Dev.Com Consultant and HR Head Mrs. Marie Fe Zambrano made their motivational talk before the audience.
The implementation of the program will start with the identification and registration of skilled unemployed constituents in all the 33 barangays of the municipality. With the assistance of the barangay captains and their secretaries, a data base of skills registry shall be collated and maintain by the PESO and the ITSM to be made available labor market supply to local and as well as international companies/establishment’s human resource requirements. Unemployed constituents of the municipality that are looking for gainful employment are invited to register and be considered for job matching to labor market demands of various companies. Regular monitoring and reporting shall be the measurement of the program efficiency and effectiveness.
